Daniel Edwin Desmond was born May 24, 1900 at Renovo, PA to Daniel Desmond and Mary Ann Dougherty.

Sunbury. Edwin Desmond, 87, of 111 N. Sixth St., died Saturday evening at Mansion Nursing Home, Sunbury.
Born in Renovo May 24, 1900, he was a son of the late Daniel T. and Mary Ann (Doughtery) Desmond. He was married to the former Genevieve Nagle.
He was a retired auditor working for the state. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Renovo, and attended Villonova College.
He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and Sunbury Elks Lodge.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Fitzmaurice of Bala Cynwyd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michaels Catholic Church by the Rev. Clarence A. Olszewski. Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery.
There will be no visitation this evening, but visitors may call from 9 a.m. to the time of the service Wednesday at the M. Quay Olley Funeral Home, Sunbury.
