Daughter of William and Sarah Bennit (Crippen) Cole. Mother of Ellery Hodge, Lucy Hodge (Mrs Charles Everett, FAG#99368051), Sophina "Finie" Fanshaw (Mrs Elisha L Neild), and Ovid Dwight Clark. First married to William R. Hodge (1854), later to Bowman Wilson (1879). After Bowman's death she spent her last years with son Ovid and family in Hancock, Delaware County, NY, then in Hempstead, Nassau, NY. (Maiden name from son Ovid's 1930 marriage and 1947 death records.)
Lavanda's known siblings were Charles, John, Alonzo, Asa, William Jr, Polly, Sarah, Ada, James, Roswell, and 1/2 brother George by her father's 2nd wife, Anna Brown.
