Find a grave shows these two had other spouses, but this is unfounded. There is no proof Lorane & William were ever married to anyone else. This connection was made by another member who was probably confused with transcription errors with her name. I have multiple census reports, death certificates, & Civil War records where her given name is spelled differently spelled &/or transcribed her name differently- while all other information, including her family, remains the same. I do, however, I revisit this about once a year to see if there is new documentation available to prove or disprove either theory.
William & Lorane are my 3rd great grandparents- Kelly, kroots.org.
