Bollard, Roberta 03/17/1921 ~ 07/15/2013 SAN DIEGO -- Born to Frances Painter and Norman Stokely in the farming community of Mercer, Pa. She was raised in Mercer and Fredonia, Pa. Married to Morrie Bollard on June 14, 1941, they moved to Meadville, Pa. where she worked as a beautician; then, moved to Linesville, Pa., raised her family and worked at General Electric. Upon retirement, she moved to San Diego in 1984.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, sons M. Vaughn (Plowden), Randal J. (Candace), grandchildren Carrie, Joshua and Jennifer. She had many great- grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by grandson Jason and brother Raymond Stokely. She is also survived by her sister Twila Williams (Rus), nieces and nephews. A memorial, open to family and friends, will be held at Foothills United Methodist Church. Her smile and caring ways will be greatly missed.
