Ruth Coughlin
OTTUMWA – Ruth I. Coughlin, 73, of 748 Grace St. died at 5:05 p.m. April 27, 1995, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born June 21, 1921, in Albia to Arthur L. and Leota L. Turner Freed. She married Raymond A. Coughlin June 7, 1942, in Albia. She was a graduate of Albia High School and attended Iowa Success School. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and Faith Circle, Deed of Kindness Circle of the Kings Daughters, Ottumwa Womens Club and O.B. Nelson Unit No. 3 of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Cheryl McClure of Creston and Mickey Sims of North Richland Hills, Texas; five grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Rusk of Des Moines and Pauline Thornton of Camden, S C.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wanda Irene Coughlin.
The service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Derrick Haskins officiating Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Sunday.
The family will present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Larry and Lonnie McClure, Jason and Jeffrey Sims, Rick Stevens and Bob Smith.
A memorial has been established to Hospice of Wapello County.
