Kathryn Kerr Danner, age 64, passed away at United Hospital surrounded by her family on April 17th, 2019. She was born on February 9th, 1955 in New Ulm, MN to Charles and Faith (Alexander) Kerr.
Kathy was the youngest of three siblings; a wonderful sister to Sandy and Bob. On April 22, 1978 she married Lyle Alan Danner at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where they remained life-long members. Kathy enjoyed spending time with Lyle and his family where they hung out at Gallaghers and played volleyball at open gym night at the new Emmanuel school. She became the mother to John and Suzie and raised them with love. Shortly after John was born Kathy accepted an entry level position with St. Paul Insurance Company and worked her way up to a Senior Computer Systems Engineer. Kathy retired from the now Travelers Insurance Company in 2016 after 36 years of hard work.
Kathy loved horses and owned one prior to focusing on her children. She played the guitar and loved creating things, from counted-cross stitch, ceramics, jewelry, and she had a special knack for hand-made wreaths. More than anything Kathy loved to spend time at the cabin with her family playing cards, fishing and being out on the lake.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lyle; children, John (Bethany) and Suzie; siblings, Sandy (Jim) Megenity, and Bob (Sue) Kerr; and many nieces and nephews who she loved to spend time with.
Funeral Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019 at 11:00AM, at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 115 Crusader Ave W. in West Saint Paul, with a luncheon to follow at the church.
