Zelda Ollie Brooks Hudson, 93, of Batesville passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004 at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas

She was born Thursday, December 29, 1910, the daughter of Robert L. Brooks and Nora Ollie (Pierce) Brooks.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church having the special distinction of being the church's oldest member. She was a member of Manuel Conyers Good Fellowship Sunday School Class.

She is survived by one son, Paul Hudson, Jr. of Artesia, New Mexico; two daughters, Clara McDuffee of El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Leon Crow of Cave City, Arkansas; one sister, Litchford Gamel of Batesville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Stephen McDuffee of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Regina Sweat of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Johnny McDuffee of El Paso, Texas, Chris Hudson of Roswell, New Mexico, Susan Hudson of Parker, Colorado, Teresa Loggains of Cave City, Arkansas, Wayne Crow of Batesville, Arkansas, Carolyn Kirk of Cave City, Arkansas and Brenda McDougal of Cave City, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren, Monica McDougal, Dylan Kirk, Corie England, and Andrew Kirk, all of Cave City, Arkansas, Rhonda Kirk of Batesville, Arkansas, Tara Sweat of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Crystal McDuffee of Virginia, Phillip Sweat of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Ian McDuffee of El Paso, Texas; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul B. Hudson; one brother, Joseph Case Brooks; one sister, Happel Brooks Terrell

Pallbearers are Bill Coop, James Reves, Mike Terrell, Andrew Kirk, Larry Wilson, and Hank England; honorary pallbearers are Jerry Dunegan, Shelby Baxter, Dr. Robin Williams, Bryan McSpadden, Greenway Pierce, and Donald Hedden.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville. (870) 793-4161

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville officiated by Reverend Marcia Dodd.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
