She was raised in Peru and graduated from Peru Central School in 1944.
She and her late husband were high school sweethearts. After highschool she moved to Rochester, N.Y., where she worked as a telephone operator for NY Tel during the War. After WWII, her future husband followed her to Rochester where he began working at Kodak and Underwood Typewriter Company
Married Bernard Jarvis in Rochester on Jan. 25, 1947. They returned to Peru and they later became co-owner of Peru Farm Center, where she became the bookkeeper in the business until they both retired in 1990.
Survived by her 4 children and their families; a daughter-in-law; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and extended family members
Predeceased by her parents; her husband Bernard on Sept. 29, 2008; by her brothers Harrison, Patrick and Ray Boswell; her sister Phyllis McCormick, as well as in-laws Margaret Jarvis Murphy, Arthur Jarvis, and Catherine Jarvis Thompson; a grandson, Adam Jarvis who died on Dec. 23, 2006, and several nieces and nephews.
