Lawrence Berberich of Brooks, MN passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating and Deacon John Bruggeman. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Brooks.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, MN and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Lawrence “Larry” Marvin Berberich was born May 22, 1945 in Crookston, MN son of Leander and Mayme (Asselin) Berberich. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Brooks, MN.

On April 29, 1972 he was united in marriage to Susan Jane Tangen at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks. Together they had 3 children Lynn, Corey and Tammy.

He worked numerous jobs and was a “Jack of all trades”. He drove bulk truck for Cenex, drove Arctic Cat race support trailer for both Arctic Cat and Black Magic racing. His passion was taking care of the land which he loved so much, as he farmed his entire life.

He enjoyed auction sales, attending car and snowmobile races, restoring antique tractors and most of all he loved the time spent with his kids and grandkids. He had a gift of gabbing who never met a stranger and was known where ever he went. He had a zest for life and was always on the go.

He was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, served on the Township board.

Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years Susan; children Lynn, Corey (Tina) and Tammy (Ricky); grandchildren Alexis, Megan, Taylor, Ty, Triston and Taylon; brothers Butch and John; sisters, Marge (Tom), Loretta (Larry), Alice (Sonnie), Sue (Joe), Fritz (Mike), Betty (Mark), Rita (Kevin, Kay (Joe), Connie (Charles and Janet (Rick) along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leander and Mayme, brothers LeRoy and Linus; sister Carol Harbott.

Lawrence will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
