The remains of Adolph Ahl and his daughter were removed on Saturday from the burying ground on the Ahl place to the new cemetery. The former was buried about 17 years ago and the latter about 20 and all that was left of their bodies were the bones, most of which were in a crumbling condition.

Adolph Ahl, who died in 1868 from the effects of wounds received by the discharge of a gun in the hands of Conrad Pfenning, who mistook him for a stranger entering his door-yard after nightfall for evil purposes, as he believed. He was the father of nine children.
