Funeral for Robert Valentine, 30 year resident of Marin City, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Marin City.

Valentine, 68, died last Friday at a local hospital following a long illness.

A retired construction worker, he was a member of Local No. 291 in San Rafael.

He was born and raised in Louisiana.

He had been married for 44 years to Lillian Valentine of Marin City. At the time of his death he resided at 145 Drake Avenue.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Charles E. Valentine of Marin City; and Robert Valentine Jr. of San Francisco; 4 daughters, Mrs. Barbara McRae of San Francisco; Mrs. Alma Marshall of Tampa, FL; Mrs. Carol Johnson of Munich, Germany; and Janice Valentine of Marin City; one brother, Cy Valentine of Baton Rouge; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Maryellen Augustus and Mrs. Rose Collins of Baton Rouge; and Mrs. Patsy Balls of Oakland; and 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the church tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Burial will follow the funeral Thursday at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
