Dessie Rardon

SPENCER, W.Va., - Dessie Rardon, 85, of Bentwood Drive, Piedmont, S.C., formerly of Spencer, died Friday in Memorial Hospital, Greenville, S.C. following a brief illness.

She was born in Ravenswood, W.Va., a daughter of the late Mike H. and Sara Archer. She was a school teacher in West Virginia and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer.

She is survived by two sons, Earl D. Rardon of Piedmont and Carl W. Rardon of Ashland, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. Shearl (Lois) Elder of Sidney, Ohio and Mrs. Patrick (Jean) Riggs of Farmingdale, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Rardon, in 1985.

Services will be Monday, 11 a.m. at the Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Lester Walker officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 7-8:30 p. m. Sunday.
