Gordon T. Green, age 83, of Northland Lodge, Two Rivers, died on Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, 2010, at Northland Lodge.

Gordon was born March 10, 1927, in Manitowoc to the late William and Bertha (Christiansen) Green. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, he then entered the U.S. Navy and proudly served during the WWII in the Pacific Theater. Gordon married Betty Wagner on Oct. 30, 1948, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Manitowoc. Betty preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 2009. Gordon was employed at Aluminum Specialties of Manitowoc for many years. He was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie No. 706 as well as the American Legions Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law: Gary and Sharon Green, Newton, Bradley Green, Alba, Mich.; one daughter and son-in-law: Jodi and Wayne Klein, Two Rivers; seven grandchildren: Gordon and Wesley Green, Philip, Rachel, and Jonathon Green, Nicole (David) Stubbs, Kayla Klein; four great-grandchildren: Meadow, Josie, Bradley, and Brayden; one step great-granddaughter: Ashley; one brother and sister-in-law: William and Mary Green, Manitowoc; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Alice and Eugene Hilke, Manitowoc, Betty Ann Carmody, Laona, Wis.; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Edward and Elaine Wagner, Manitowoc, Roger "Bucky" and Edna Wagner, Manitowoc, Val Madsen, Manitowoc, and Margaret Green, Sussex; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant grandson: Kevin Klein; five brothers: Clarence, Harold, Calvin, Robert, and James; and two sisters: Bertha, and Marjorie.

Funeral services for Gordon will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Dr. James Klein with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. Graveside military rites will be accorded by The American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at St. John's United Church of Christ from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Northland Lodge and especially his special friend Chuck Wirtz, for the compassionate care and support given to Gordon.
