Mrs. Edmund (Clalie C.) Hoeffner, 79, of 1510 Philippen St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 25, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

Mrs. Hoeffner was born June 15, 1903, in the Township of Newtonburg, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Gottfried and Ottila Herwig Krueger. She grew up and was educated in the Township of Newtonburg. She was married to Edmund H. Hoeffner, May 14, 1927, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Mrs. Hoeffner farmed with her husband in the Town of Manitowoc for a number of years, moving to Manitowoc in 1936. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aid Society for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Edmund; two sons and daughters-in-law, Delmar and Imogene Hoeffner, and Lloyd and Margery Hoeffner of Appleton; a brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Marie Krueger of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Alma Carstens of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, Mark, Nancy, James, David, Ruth Ann, John and Thomas, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday, and at the church from noon until the time of services.
