Margaret's dates given here are approximations, as she has no formally marked grave, although local long-time researcher, Jane Murphy, asserted that Margaret was buried near or next to her father Laban Banister, at Hulse Cemetery. Perhaps there is a fieldstone, or maybe only a grave depression, but oral tradition says she is there, and that she was, indeed, the daughter of Laban. She was listed on the 1860 census as "Sarah M. Banister," and simply "Sarah Banister" in 1870.
