Eva Marie Bastian, of Willcox, died in Tucson on Aug. 7, 2013 at the age of 75. She was born in Greeley, Kan., on Feb. 5, 1938 to William Joseph Lickteig and Essie Josephine Raitinger.
Eva was a lifelong homemaker and a good mother. She supported her husband Ron during his Air Force Career, enduring many moves. Eva was also co-owner of Radio Shack in Willcox, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
On June 23, 1962 in Holton, Kan. she married Ronald Bastian who survives her. Also surviving is her son Michael of Natick, Mass., and daughter Tina (Dave) Mascarenas of Willcox, along with nine grandchildren. Her brothers, Father Tony and Walter, both of Kansas, and her sisters, Helen, Rita, Loretta and Wilma, all of Kansas, also survive her. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister.
A Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Westlawn Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial of her cremains will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her name to the E.W.T.N.
