Watson Balderson, 93, of Belpre, died Monday in Parkersburg.
He was born Aug. 12, 1881, in Sandyville, a son of the late William and Sarah Balderson. He retired from farming and moved to Belpre in 1950, and was a member of Belpre Heights United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Arie Cheuvont Balderson; one son, Dale of Chillicothe, O.; four daughters, Mrs. Dean Welch, Mrs. Albert Gearhart, and Mrs. Hawlie Hartley, all of Belpre, and Mrs. Russell Vannoy of Parkersburg; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Spencer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Francis Huber officiating. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
Friends may call at Spencer Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
