Julia Shirley (Turner) Welsh was the daughter of Adm. Thomas Turner and Fanny Palmer Turner. Julia had five siblings; Angela, Jessie, Edward, William, and Mildred. She married Osgood Welsh April 26, 1864 in Philadelphia and they had at least one child - Julian Palmer Welsh - (1874-1910)
