HERMAN DRAKE

Herman Drake, 88, of Kiel, died Sunday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. Carl Lenz, at Louis Corners, where he had been living the past four years.
He was born on the Drake homestead farm April 10, 1875, a son of the late William and Fredericka Drake. He received his education at the district school and was married Dec. 7, 1896, to the former Anna Voigt of Kiel.

The couple lived on the Drake home farm at Louis Corners, which they operated until their retirement in 1943 when they moved to Kiel. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners, and a former elder of the church.
The couple observed their 65th wedding anniversary in 1961. Mrs. Drake died in February of 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Norma Drake, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Carl (Orvilla) Lenz, Louis Corners; three sons, Edwin of Kiel, Helmuth of R. 2, Elkhart Lake, and Richard, Milwaukee; nine granchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adalbert Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
