ANNA (VOIGT) DRAKE

Mrs. Herman Drake, 83, died Monday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lenz at Louis Corners near Kiel. Mr. and Mrs. Drake had been living there for the past two years.

The former Anna Voigt was born in Germany on June 25, 1878, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Louisa Ludwig Voigt, and came to this country with her parents at the age of 7. The family settled in Kiel.

On Dec. 7, 1896, she was married to Herman Drake of Louis Corners. The couple settled on the Drake homestead farm at Louis Corners. They retired from farming in 1943 when they moved to Kiel.
Mrs. Drake was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Louis Corners and a chartermember of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Miss Norma Drake of Milwaukee, Mrs. Carl (Orvilla) Lenz of Louis Corners; three sons, Edwin of Kiel, Helmuth of the Town of Russell, Richard of Milwaukee; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Richard of Tujunga, Calif., and Bernard in Oregon.
One child, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.

Services are pending at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel. Details will be announced Wednesday.
