WILLIAM A JOST

William A. Jost, 78, of Point Creek Road, Kiel, died peacefully at his home on Monday, March 18, 2002.
He was born Nov. 4, 1923 in the Town of Centerville, son of the late Paul and Anna Remick Jost. On Nov. 2, 1948, he married Arline Voss in Cleveland. His present love was farming. In addition of farming all his adult life in the Town of Meeme, he also worked as a foreman at F. Radandt and Sons, worked at the Kohler Company, was a milk hauler for C. F. Heckman, worked at Fessler Feed Mill and was a school bus driver. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis corners where he was a church council member for eight years.
William enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading, entertaining his grandchildren and having the comfort of his faithful pal and buddy, his dog, Norm.
Survivors include his wife; Arline; his children, Laura (George) Radandt of Manitowoc, Brenda (Patrick) Poklinkoski of Newton, William Jr (Mary) Jost of Manitowoc, and Lisa (Scott) Scharinger of Kiel, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Frederick and Harold; and three sisters, Lorraine Funk, Marie Funk and Carrie Salkowski.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ted Olsen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
