Johann John Loos Sr
Death claimed John Loos, one of the well-known and highly respected citizens of the town of Schleswig, on Thursday, at the age of 76 years, after a prolonged illness with cancer of the stomach.
Mr. Loos was born in Gundersblum, Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany, January 14, 1847.
At the age of eight years he came to America with his parents, who settled on a farm in the town of Rhine, where they remained one year and then moved on a farm in the town of Schleswig.
He was married at the age of 22 years to Anna Pauline Zorn.
The couple lived on a farm in Schleswig up to twenty years ago, when they moved to Millhome, where they have since been making their home.
The survivors are his widow, who has been an invalid for many years; two sons William and Emil of Colby; one brother, William of Elkhart Lake; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Geussenhainer of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Frank Zorn of Brillion. Also 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren survive him.
The funeral services took place on Monday afternoon at 2 o'cl ock, Rev. Wm. Kuether of the Lutheran church of Louis Corners officiating.
Remains were buried in the Louis Corners cemetery..
