Current manager has not varified information in the bio which was created by the creator of the memorial who is a fallen graver.

He came from Warren County, Tennessee by way of Illinois. It is probable that he married his first wife Mary in Illinois. She is thought to have been the Mary Pruitt who married an Absalom Potter on February 4, 1841 in Scott County, Illinois. Absalom and Mary had four children: Elijah, Elisha, Absalom, Jr. and Mary Isabell. His second wife was Lydia Marks, the daughter of Watts Marks and Susannah Miller of Jefferson County, Kentucky. They lived in Illinois before coming to Dallas County, Texas. Lydia was the widow of Job Badgley. Job and Lydia were the parents of George and Rosetta, who died young and are buried with their father in unmarked graves in Pleasant Mound Public Cemetery. Absalom and Lydia were married July 5, 1854 in Dallas County, Texas by Thomas D. Coats, J.P. They were the parents of: Angeline, Watts, William, Andrew Jackson, Marion, Henry Cleveland, Malissa and Eva. Many of Absalom and Lydia's descendants are buried in this old pioneer Pleasant Mound Public Cemetery located at the corner of Buckner Boulevard and Scyene Road in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

Absolom and Lydia's son Andrew Jackson Potter was first married to Eliza Ann Terrell in 1882. They divorced by 1888. From what I've been told there is an unnamed child listed in their divorce papers and I wonder if you have ever uncovered the name of the child, of whom custody was granted to Eliza.

9/15/12: Absolom's son Andrew J. Potter and 1st wife Eliza Ann Terrell, had a daughter, Dora May Potter. Dora married 1st William ("Will") Evans in Wise Co., TX in 1898 and married 2nd William ("Will") Blohm in Delta Co., TX in 1901. By Will Evans she had Vada Ann Evans. by Will Blohm she had Thomas William Blohm (and possibly another child, a daughter). (per daughter.of.the.golden)
