NOTE 1:
Per my Dad, "Big John", at one time, operated a general store at the mouth of McComas Creek (an area near Dunlow, Wayne Co., WV); he remembers hearing his Mother tell about "going to "Big John's" store" .. this 2-story 'store-building', still standing today as a local historical landmark and beautifully maintained as a private residence, was built by John "Johnny Dutchman" Kellerman, a reknowned carpenter of the area who had migrated from Europe (from Holland per local residents). Other merchants who later owned/operated this store were Thomas Hensley "Buttertooth Tom" Maynard, Jr.; Silas D. Copley; and "Leet" Moore .. Della 6-20-2007
NOTE 2: Research indicates (per her Wayne Co., WV, marriage record, showing her parents as "J. & Jane Mainard") his daughter, Amelia (Milla [Milly/Millie]), age 21, married on 8-13-1874, Walter Queen, S/O John & Annie Queen, by James Queen, Minister .. 6-20-2007
*NOTE 3: For whatever reason (probably a typo error, I had shown his father as John Maynard; corrected from John Maynard to Jesse Maynard today, 6-26-2016 [my apology for the error]/Della .. 6-26-2016
Additions/corrections welcome .. Della 6-20-2007
*NOTE 3: For whatever reason (probably a typo error) I had shown his father as John Maynard; corrected from John Maynard to Jesse Maynard today, 6-26-2016 [my apology for the error]/Della .. 6-26-2016
