Near the beginning of WWII, he, his wife, and his infant daughter (Jean) were incarcerated at the Manzanar Japanese Internment Camp in Inyo County, California. They were there from Jun 1942 to Oct 1945. A second daughter (Junko June Kasa) was born at Manzanar in 1944. Upon release they relocated to Denver, Colorado. Several additional daughters were born in Colorado.
He is buried adjacent to his wife (Miyoshi) and 2 of his daughters (Jean Harumi Kasa Miyazawa and Junko June Kasa Harvey).
