Maj. Marcus "Mac" Mullis of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Mullis was born July 6, 1944 in Stanly County to the late Otto Lane Mullis and the late Virgie Mullis. He was also preceded in death by wife, Letha Jeanette Mullis; sisters, Bernice Almond, Nell Thompson, and Barbara Garrett; and brothers, Kendall Mullis and Don Mullis.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle.
Survivors include daughters, Kimberly (John) Ridenhour of Albemarle, Crystal Elkin of Richfield; son, Marcus (Jerri) Mullis of Aurora, CO; sister, Dolly Morris of Albemarle; brother, Landon Mullis of New London; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mac was retired USAF Major.
