Soccer Player. 1936 German Olympic team. He was the first player from Borussia Mönchengladbach to be selected to play for the German national team in 1936. He survived the battle of Stalingrad, and returned to Mönchengladbach to work for the city government while also helping Borussia as a player and coach for a couple of years.
