Survivors include her husband, Paul Way of Pelahatchie; sons, David Dean Way of Atlanta, GA, Glen and Gary Way of Pelahatchie, Neal Franklin Way of Brookhaven and Danny Way of Harrisville; daughters, Ruth Duran and Lillian Coleman of Pelahatchie and Carolyn Davis of Morton, sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Way was also preceded in death by a son, John Preston Way in 1984.
Pallbearers were Steve Duran, Eddie Way, Mitchell Coleman, Anthony Way, Charles Goodman and Justin Stanley.

Mrs. Verna Lee Kendall, respected matron of Zama community, passed away at her home there January 19, following a heart attack. She was 66. She was a member of the Pentecostal church. Funeral services were held January 21 at Bethlehem, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Jones, and assisted by Rev. Ellard. Burial was in Mars Hill cemetery under direction of Woodall Funeral Home.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs; Paul Way, Zama, and Mrs. Hazel Ferguson, Tutwiler; one son, Rev. C. W, Kendall, Covington, La.; three sisters and two brothers.
