Lavonda "Susie" Hayes Burris, 54 years of age, of Muncie, Indiana, departed this life on Sunday morning, June 16th, 2019.
Lavonda was born in Muncie, Indiana on January 5th, 1965, daughter of the late Farrell and Lois E. Stevens Hayes. Lavonda graduated from Cowan High School and later married the love of her life, Luther Burris. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana.
Lavonda was survived by her husband, Luther Burris; one daughter, Jessica Campbell; one son, Christopher Burris; two sisters, Linda Cox and Pamela Hayes; one grandaughter, Kalila Campbell; one grandson, Stephen Scott Drinkard the second; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Farrell Lavaughn Hayes, who departed this life on July 31st, 1976 and Lois Whited, who departed this life on April 18th, 2014.
Visitations were held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at the Parson Mortuary in Muncie, Indiana.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 in the Chapel of the Parson Mortuary.
