She is a Patriot of the American Revolution having given an oath and paying supply taxes to support the troops.

MARRIAGE: Philip Evans and his wife acknowledged marriage contrary to discipline. It was left to further consideration. Radnor Monthly Meeting Men's Minutes on the 9th day of 9th Month 1727 (9th month is November) Will of her husband Philip in 1779 names her as Elizabeth Evans. Her own will lists the same children listed in his will except for Amos who had died.

WILL: Elizabeth Evans of the Township of Aston in Delaware Co PA being far advanced in years but of sound mind. My son and executor herein named. I give to my daughter Ruth the wife of William Hannom 440 pds in gold or silver money of PA and 60 pds old paper currency and the best looking glass, one feather bed and its furniture one full equal half part of all my pewter and the whole of my wearing apparel. I give to my dau Hannah wife of Thomas Vernon an annuity of 5 pds per annum for 10 years or if she dies to be paid to her surviving children. I give to my son Samuel Evans the sum of 640 pds of current gold and silver money of PA and 60 pds old paper currency and I will all the remainder and residue of my estate until him my son Samuel Evans. My black woman named Silvia to have her freedom and liberty at my deceased and I do hereby affranchise and declare her to be absolutely free and at liberty. To my grandson John Butler one English shilling out of my state and no more. I give unto my granddaughter Mary Evans. To my granddaughter Elizabeth Evans one English shilling and no more.
