Abel, Adolph (05 MAY 1906 – 31 MAY 1986)

Funeral services were held at Zion United Church of Christ for Adolph Abel 80, Greenwood. Mr. Abel died Saturday, May 31, 1986 at 11:18 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospice Unit. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Alwyn York officiated. Pallbearers were Mike, William and Dale Mitte, Ken Laube, Dennis Wendt and Lloyd Meissner.

Adolph Abel was born May 18, 1906 in the town of Hendren to Frank and Louise (Franz) Abel. He received his education in rural Greenwood schools. He and Anita Dill were married at Westside Church on September 17, 1927. Mr. Abel was a carpenter for many years in the Greenwood area.

He is survived by his wife Anita; three sons, Gary, Racine and Jack and Tom both of Greenwood; two sisters, Mrs. Adolph (Florine) Wendt, Owen and Mrs. Ella Elmers, Milwaukee; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
