MUNCIE - Elsie Griffith passed away on June 20, 2007 after a sudden illness.
She was employed at Ball Memorial Hospital as a ward Clerk for 32 years. She was a member of the 20 years plus club at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the choir and served in the Missionary.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Charles Gillum (Shirley) of Muncie Indiana, Kenny Gillum (friend Luvenia) of Valparaiso Indiana; one goddaughter, Gracie Johnson (Albert) of Muncie Indiana; 5 grandchildren, Brian (Sharon) Connell of Muncie, Randy Gillum of Muncie, Karen Newton of Muncie, Kim Gillum of Muncie, Kia Gillum of Muncie; 9 great-grandchildren; special companion, James Carthell of Muncie Indiana; three special friends, Viola Richardson, Cynthia Bass and Toby Morrow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Griffith; her parents, Herbert and Betty Crider; two brothers, Eugene Crider, Herbert Crider Jr.; two sisters, Iona Bass, Dorothy Crider.
Funeral Service will be Monday, June 25, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Edward Long officiating.
Calling hours will be Monday, June 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at prior to the services.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Gholar & Gholar Funeral Service 900 East Kirby Avenue Muncie Indiana.
