Donald E. Myers, 92, of Liberty died Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Brookville Health Care Center. He was born in Bath Township, Franklin County on October 1, 1914 to Earl and Dora VanAusdal Myers.


He had attended the Mixerville Grade School and McGuffy High School in Oxford, OH. His employment was life-long farming in Franklin and Union Counties. He was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church, the Union County Farm Bureau and the Masonic Lodge, Fairfield Lodge Number 98 F.A.M. His hobby was his farming and spending time with all the grandchildren.


Survivors include his wife, Florence Stone Myers whom he married on February 27, 1943, one son and his wife: Ron and Arleen Myers of Liberty, one daughter and her husband: Arlene and John McDill Of Sellersburg, IN, three sisters: Margaret King of College Corner, Annabelle Paulin of Oxford, Jean Lanning of Brookville, seven grandchildren: Patti Zolnick of Colorado, Keith Myers of Liberty, Craig Myers of Richmond, Michael McDill of Louisville,Kentucky, Susan Dreshler of Virginia Beach,Virginia, Julie McDill of Indianaoplis and Jennifer Murphy of Liberty, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Marvin and Paul, three sisters: Helen Gilmore, Ruby Reiboldt and Mary Louise Brower.
