Mrs. Lewis Capehart passed away Wednesday, April 21 at the age of 76 years at the home of her son-in-law, C. Miner in Deep River. She was born in Lee County, Illinois and came with her parents to Montezuma in childhood. She has lived in Poweshiek County the greater part of her life since.
She was united in marriage Dec. 24, 1865 to Lewis Capehart and they have made their home at Tilton ever since. Her husband died November 3, 1915. Mrs. Capehart was stricken with paralysis two and a half years ago and has since then been tenderly cared for at the home of her son-in-law, John McCulley.
