Viola "Jo" Yazel, 77, of Rushville, passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2018. She was born on January 19, 1941 in Ulvah, KY to the late Corbett and Mattie (Sexton) Campbell. Jo married William C. Yazel on March 15, 1958 and he precedes her in death on February 23, 1995. She was a lifetime attendee of the Rushville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crafts and gardening. Jo lived for her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister.
Jo is survived by her children, William "Allen" Yazel of Indianapolis, Timothy "Tim" Yazel of Rushville, Patrick "Pat" (Lara) Yazel of Rushville, and Misty (Jon) Laswell of Rushville; and sister, Irene (Richard) Holland of Belton, MO. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Yazel, Angela Yazel, Cole Yazel, Grant Yazel, Oliva Laswell, Morgan Yazel, and Lindsay Yazel; great grandchildren, Isaac and Isabella Yazel.
Jo is also preceded in death by her sisters, Laura Holland, Jackie Ward, and Lonnie Reams; brothers, Clifford Campbell, Eugene Campbell, and Emmett Campbell.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastors Aaron Chester and Bob Malone presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 AM until the time of service at the mortuary. Burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made out to the Rushville Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
