COLUMBIA - Mrs. Charles O. Jones, of Columbia a former resident of Mullins, died Saturday in a Columbia nursing home. Born in Marion county, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Sallie Rowell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Dunbar Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Glen G. Waldrop and the Rev. W.J. Collins. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Serving as active Pallbearers were J. C. Mullock, B. M. Frank, Paul Mims, Frank W. Smith, J. P. Barwick and W. McRayon Barwick.
Surviving are her husband, of Columbia; a son, Charles O. Jones, Jr. of Litchfield; three sisters, Mrs. Raye McKissick of Florence, Mrs. Beulah Foxworth of Marion, and Mrs. C. L. (Dorothy) McMillan of Mullins; a brother, Donald Rowell; and 1 grandson.
