who is also buried in the Lowe plot with Mary A, Ralph, Sam, Sherburne and Waldo H. Sr.
Ralph A. Lowe was a son of James R. Lowe Jr. and Inez Pacheco, who are also buried in the Lowe family plot. According to census records, they had a son named Ralph who was born about 1868. On Oct. 16, 1893, the San Jose Herald reported that Ralph A. Lowe, son of Senator James R. Lowe, had married Miss Fay Bradshaw in San Diego.
They divorced in 1900 in Los Angeles (L.A. Herald, July 18, 1900, p.10). The obituary of Rafaela Soto de Pacheco in 1902 mentions a grandson named Ralph A. Lowe in Los Angeles (L.A. Herald, Jan. 26, 1906).
In the 1930 census, Ralph Lowe was living in Los Angeles with his daughter Ynez and his aunt Virginia (Pacheco) Gruwell. Note that the names are mistakenly reversed in the 1930 census—Virginia Gruwell was a sister of Ralph's mother Inez Pacheco, and Ralph's obituary (L.A. Times, Nov. 13, 1938, p.52) confirms that his daughter's name was Ynez.
