Dennis Michael Stelzer, age 66, of 908 S. 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Aurora Bay Care, Green Bay.
He was born on April 10, 1947 in Manitowoc, son of the late Roman and Lillian (Gadzinski) Stelzer. Dennis was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He was employed at 4 Seasons Landscaping for over 20 years. Before 4 Seasons, he was employed for Burger Boat as a welder for many years. Dennis enjoyed deer hunting, his annual trips to Las Vegas, ice fishing, visiting his grandkids and playing practical jokes on family and co-workers. He enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers and always called after a Packer game, win or lose.
Survivors include his children and their spouses: Michael and Tracy Stelzer, Wausau; Daniel and Carrie Stelzer, Wausau; Sarah and Ryan Grosshuesch, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Kern Stelzer, Shea Grosshuesch, Aleigha Osborn, Ashlyn Osborn, Emma Stelzer; six brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gary Stelzer, Billy (Liz) Stelzer, Wayne (Sharon) Stelzer, Bruce Stelzer, Darrel (Brenda) Stelzer, Jim Stelzer and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Katie (Joe) Rucinski, Darlene (Harlen) Menting, Maureen (Mark) Wiegand and Suzanne (Pat) Bries. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Stelzer.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer.
The family will greet relatives and friends for a Memorial Visitation on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 10:00 am until 11:45 am.
