She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, enjoyed horse shows, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eulis Clell Johnson and one brother, Edgar Stacy.
In addition to her mother, Polly Stacy Stacy, she is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Matney and husband Roger of Paynesville, and Cheri Jo Johnson of Charleston; two sisters, Phyllis Christian and husband Donald of North Carolina, and Loraine Mullins and husband Douglas of Louisa, Ky.; three brothers, Earl Stacy and wife Wanda of Paynesville, Thurman Stacy and wife Glenda Kay of Louisa, and Buford Stacy of Paynesville; a dear special friend, Lewis (Ruben) Lester of Paynesville; three grandchildren, Kevin Clell Matney and wife Kayla Jo of Patterson, Va., Hannah Grace Matney of Paynesville, Rebecca Stacy of Paynesville; one great-grandchild, Hailey Shea Matney of Patterson.
Funeral services for Dolly Stacy Johnson will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cross View Church of Christ at Paynesville, with Evg. Hobert Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery at State Line Ridge No. 1, Paynesville.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J.G. Patel, O.R. and nursing staff of Buchanan General Hospital.
Friends may call the church after 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Evening service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
