Peacefully in Ottawa, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in his 79th year, surrounded by his loving family. Cherished husband of the late Maureen (nee Doyle) of 43 years. He will be fondly remembered by his loving partner Carol Greenway. Devoted father of Cheryl Donohue (Matthew), David, and Nancy Rivers (predeceased Gary). Adoring grandfather to Aaryn, Christopher, Maureen and Jason and special great-grandfather to Karlehn, Ryker and Lachlen. Beloved brother of Ronald, Linda Munro, and predeceased brother Gerald. Bob will be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends of McLaren's Landing and across Canada. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the many doctors and caregivers for their care and compassion throughout his illness. Friends may pay respect at the Kelly Funeral Home, Kanata Chapel 580 Eagleson Rd., Kanata, ON K2M 1H4 613-591-6580 Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Wednesday, September 6 after 10 a.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel at 11 a.m. In memoriam donations to Hospice Care Ottawa or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
