Hannah (Barnes) Bennett was the wife of Stephen Bennett Sr. and she was the daughter of John and Mary Barnes of Trinity Newfoundland. She died at the age of 41 years ... leaving a husband and 8 children to mourn her loss. *[ Hannah's baptism date was July 4th 1757 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Trinity, Newfoundland, so there is a discrepancy in her age from that given on her headstone.... she was more than likely 43 years old when she died and not 41 ] NOTE: There are still two children not connected here. Anne (1795) married to William Stowe and Susannah (1800) married to Edward Peters and they have not been connected simply because I have been unable to locate their place of death and burial.

Her headstone is located in the OLD St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery on Cochrane St. in Harbour Grace. It is located to the right of the main entrance to the Church.
