Elizabeth Lee was born in Tensas, LA on August 26, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Mary Dabbs Pounds. She passed away on July 9, 2019, in Taylorsville, MS where she had resided for the past five years.
Prior to moving to Taylorsville, Ms she lived in Natchez, MS. While in Natchez she was a member of the Presbyterian Faith and also attended Cliff Temple Baptist Church. Becky was a Tupperware Lady, a store demonstrater, and later in life a hospital volunteer. She enjoyed nothing more than to talk to people, which is evident when looking back on her occupations.
Elizabeth "Becky" Lee is preceded in death by her parents Charles M. and Mary Dabbs Pounds, her husband of 56 years, Jeff D. Lee Sr. , and her two brothers, Mike and Pat Pounds.
Survivors include her sister Jeanette Minard (Clayton, LA), and two brothers Charles Pounds (Clayton, LA), and Robert Pounds (Vidalia, LA). Her three children, her daughter Mary Ann and Ken Odell (Taylorsville, MS), and her two sons Danny and Midge Lee, and Richard and Janie Lee (Kinston, MS); three granddaughters, Teresa Odell Hawkins and Thero (Taylorsville, MS), Amy Lee Gordon and David of (Natchez, MS), and Jill LeeWhite and T.J. (LaGrange, GA). Becky had four grandsons, Chris Lee (Kingston, MS), Todd Odell (Taylorsville, MS), Dane Lee and Misty (Kingston, MS) and Jeremy Lee and Ashley (LaGrange, GA). She had fourteen great, great grandchildren, Courtney, Chloe, Seth, Daniel, Hannah, Lane, Rivers, Will, Lillian, Aeris, Reise, Lelia, Delilah and Remi; one great, great, great grandson, Callen.
Her family would like to send a sincere thanks to her wonderful sitters, Marie Owens (Taylorsville, MS), and Bonita Gray (Prentiss, MS). They also would like to send a special thanks to Halcyon Hospice and there amazing staff including but not limited to Lindsay Pell, Yolanda Gatlin, Shannon Roberts, Lisa Williams, and Karen Cole. They all became like members of the family.
Graveside services will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Natchez, MS on July 12, 2019 at 10:00A.M.
