Funeral services for George Riott, age 85, of Galena, Missouri, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2007, in the First Baptist Church in Spokane, Missouri, with Pastor Randall Harwood officiating. Burial will follow in Eisenhour Cemetery in Reeds Spring. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson. He passed away at 3:34 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2007, in St. John's hospital in Springfield. He was born on February 10, 1922, in Stone County, Missouri, the son of Charles and Rushia Patrick Riott. He was retired from self-employment and a member of the First Baptist Church in Spokane. He was a life long resident of the area. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors are his wife, Louise Riott, of the home; two sons: Keith Riott and wife Geraldine, of highlandville, Rick Riott and wife Kathy of Galena; three daughters, Vicky Braselton and husband Gene of Ashland, Debbi Foley and her late husband Arnold, of Galena, Sherry Meirer and husband Steve of Highlandville; one sister, Ruby Rantz; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Claude Riott, Clyde Riott, James Riott; and one sister, Louise Riott Creekmore. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. till the time of service at the church.
