Helen Fowler Robustelli, 93, a longtime Stamford resident, passed away quietly at her home on November 19, 2015. She was born in Lindale, Texas to the late Coy and Bruce Fowler.
Helen graduated high school in Phillips, Texas and attended Texas Tech College for two years. In 1946, while working for the government in Vienna, Austria she met her future husband Lou Robustelli, a NFL Alumni, and they married in 1948. In 1950, Helen and Lou moved to El Paso, Texas where they lived for fourteen years before moving to Stamford. Helen and Lou traveled extensively around the world and enjoyed every place they visited and every trip they took. After many trips and several cruises, they retired for good in Stamford in 2004.
Helen is survived by her children; Nanci Martine and her husband John of Northampton, MA, David Robustelli and his wife Joyce of Sheridan, AR, Edward Robustelli of Las Vegas, NV James Robustelli and his wife Sandra of Roswell, GA and Mary Robustelli of Stamford, CT. Seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents and brother, Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Lou Robustelli in 2010.
There will be a graveside service held at a later date in the spring at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Robustelli family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Helen's memory to Apache's Promise Animal Rescue, P.O Box 3564, Stamford, CT 06905
