Mrs. Mary Alice Beckner Collins 89 of Abney St., St. Albans, formerly of Oakvale died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at her home.

Born December 12, 1917 at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Willie Clyde and Dora Bell Lilly Beckner. She attended Liberty Baptist Church in Princeton. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by all her family and will be dearly missed by all.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Collins and one son, Gene Kimble, brothers, William, Ben, Donald, Charlie, Harry and Robert Beckner and sisters, Doris Snead and Shirley Thompson.

Survivors include children, Jim Collins and wife Linda, Ted Collins and wife Linda, Mike Collins and wife Lisa, all of Princeton, Rod Collins and wife Alice, Ike Collins and wife Donna, David Collins, all of St. Albans, Connie Cocus of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; bunches of great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret Cole of Princeton and Emma Lee Beckner of Matoaka.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Reverend Paul Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home or may leave online condolences at www.memorialfd.com.

Pallbearers will be Mark, Ernie, Davey, Mikey and Ricky Collins and John Lees.
