Allen Allison was born in 1900 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of Allen Allison Sr and Donie (Nichols) Allison.
He had been a farmer out of Savannah in Hardin County, but by the time he was 52 years old and a widower, he had been in Nashville's State Penitentiary for 9½ years, and died of a coronary occlusion in the West Wing, Main Cell House on July 25, 1952. Burial was the next day in Mount Ararat Cemetery, Nashville.
