The Funeral Service for Charles Edward Adams, 83, of Athens, will be Thursday July 25, 2019 at 3 P.M. at Athens Church of God with Dr. Rev. John Taggert officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday July 25, 2019 from 1-3 P.M. at Athens Church of God. Burial will be Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Adams passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. He was born May 24, 1936 in Limestone County, AL; to Johnny Dee Adams, Sr. and Lillian Kelly Adams. Mr. Adams was an active member of Athens Church of God, he was a Sgt in the U.S. Army from 1961-1965 and a volunteer with RSVP at the Athens Veterans Museum. He was retired from IBM in Manassas, VA; and was a price analyst and project manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Martha Bone Adams, three brothers Johnny D. Adams, Jr., James E. Adams, and Ezra E. Adams, two sisters Onnie Mae Hicks and Lucille A. Tucker.

Mr. Adams is survived by two sisters-in-law Kathleen S. Adams and Ellen B. Merryman both of Athens, AL, one brother-in-law James Howard Bone of Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Adams, Marshall Adams, Anthony Adams, Tommy Tucker, Heath Guthrie, and Marty Bruce.
