In failing health for nearly a year, Mrs. George Karl, 48, 1911 14th street, Two Rivers, died at her home Wednesday. She underwent a major operation at a Madison hospital in late March.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Catholic church, Two Rivers, the Rev. Edward Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Karl, nee Delores Kohls, was born in Two Rivers in 1902, a daughter of Alfred A. and Amanda Leonhardt Kohls. After attending Two Rivers high school she was employed at the Hamilton Manufacturing company in clerical work until her marriage in 1923.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Karl is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Elroy Buth of Manitowoc, Miss Doris Karl at home, and Mrs. Kenneth Laurin of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Seymour Althon and Mrs. Evelyn Henrickson of Two Rivers and Mrs. Frank J. Lupo of Greenville, South Carolina,and two brothers, Ellis Kohls of Menchalville and Roland Kohls of Two Rivers. There are two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers, from 7 p.m. Thursday until the hour of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

Marriage of George/Delores Karl (George isn't in Holy Cross, Two Rivers)
Miss Dolores Kohls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kohls, became the bride on Tuesday morning of George Karl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Karl, Eastside residents. The wedding ceremony was performed at St. Lukes Church at 8 o'clock, Rev. Father Hugo officiating. Attending couples were Miss Margaret Karl and Peter Karl and Miss Nora Gauthier and Arnold Lafond. After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride where a wedding breakfast was served to relatives only after which the newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Appleton, Milwaukee and other cities. They will make their home here on the eastside, the groom being employed
here in the aluminum industry.
