Isaac Barr is the grandfather of my grandfather, Robert J. Westcott, Sr., my mothers father.

Husband of Maria Dora (maiden name unknown). They married in 1891, in Russia.

Isaac Barr came to the US in 1897. His wife came to the US in 1900, with their three older children.

Isaac Barr owned two grocery stores in Bridgeton, NJ. One of the corner of Candle Lane (now Warrent St.) and Cohansey St. The other on the corner of Pearl and Broad St. Isaac was the interpreter for the Jewish Community for the City of Bridgeton, in the 1900's. He was also a sponsor for many of the Jewish immigrants to the City and Country, in the early years of 1900's. Isaac also contributed the money for the building of the Synagogue on Laurel St. He passed away sometime in the early 1920's.
