EAGLE LAKE – Mrs. A. Marie Mincey of Eagle Lake died of heart failure Tuesday (September 23, 2003) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was 86.
Born in Dallas on April 17, 1917, she came to Eagle Lake from Coral Gables in 1930. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Haven Baptists Church.
Mrs. Mincey was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Mincey. She is survived by her sons, James E. Mincey, Johnny M. Mincey, Ernest R. Mincey, all of Winter Haven; daughters, A. Ruth Hulsey, Lake Wales, Beverly J. Gabriel, Mount Pleasant, S.C., Kathryn C. Mincey, Mary E. Benedict, both of Winter Haven; sister, Margaret N. Whidden, Perry; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
